We'll confirm the account name (like This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) you requested, along with a valid password. That's all you need to set-up your new account. Just follow this simple procedure for a typical Windows Live Mail installation.


1) After launching Windows Live Mail, select Tools and then Accounts…

2) Select Add…

 

3) Select E-mail Account and then Next

4) Enter your complete email address (all lower case) and password (case sensitive). Check Remember password if desired, then enter the name you’d like to appear on outgoing email in the Display Name field. Finally, check the Manually configure server settings for e-mail account box.

5) Select IMAP on the Incoming mail field. Enter mail.yourdomainname.com on the Incoming server field and set the Port to 143. Enter mail.yourdomainname.com on the Outgoing server field and set the Port to 587. Select the My outgoing server requires authentication box.

6) You should see the completion message. If you wish to make this your default mail account, check the box. Click Finish when through.

 

7) You should see your new account in the Mail listing. Click Close to go to the mail window.

8) Your new account should now show up in the mail window. Click the triangle next to your mail account to display your mail folders - enjoy your new email account!
